I’m incredibly grateful to POWER FM for giving us the platform last week to host a series of shows — featuring women from all walks of life!

When I received the brief and was asked what I wanted to share, I said without hesitation:
“I want to tell my story.”

And so, the day came.

I had the joy of sharing the platform with the amazing Chef Marcus, where we spoke about the art of all things culinary — and how his passion for food was inspired by his grandmother 💗.

As we marked the 10th anniversary of our Mt. Kilimanjaro climb, I was joined by my fellow climber and bestie Thembi Machaba, as well as Lebone Malaka, who summited before us and coached us through the journey. It was powerful to reflect on our experiences and the lessons we gained from that life-changing adventure.

I also had the opportunity to share some insights from #LessonsFromMyGrandmother, which led to moving testimonies from listeners who called in.

One topic that hit close to home was bullying — something I experienced in school, not just from peers but also from teachers, simply for being dark-skinned. It was a painful season, but I overcame it thanks to the unwavering love and support of my family.

The encouragement I received from friends, family, and the broader community in the lead-up to the show was truly humbling 💗.

What a show. What an experience. I had so much fun, and I deeply appreciated everyone who tuned in and called to show love.

Stepping out of my comfort zone? Absolutely.
Would I do it again? Without a doubt! 🙌

Purpose. Resilience. Leadership.

My Kilimanjaro climb taught me that when strength fades, purpose carries you. Leadership is rooted in clarity of why.
